Our new volunteer Sabrina
Let’s say hello to our new volunteer Sabrina!
My name is Sabrina Roesch. I am nineteen years old. I am based in the nice little village of Gutenstein (also known as “Goodstone” J) which is part of the German province Baden-Wuerttemberg.
After finishing my German A-Level und completing the apprenticeship as a carpenter, I decided to take a very special timeout before my university studies. I was very interested to visit a foreign country and wanted to see behind the scenes of a social sector facility. I felt like asking almost a thousand institutions before I contacted MARIPHIL – why keeping it simple when you could have it the complicated way? However, suddenly everything came very quickly. The interview, the acceptance, the contract, packing the suitcases – and now I am here. For half a year, the MARIPHIL Children’s Village will be my new home and area of work as a volunteer. I hope for impressive experiences, having lot of fun working with the kids, new friendships and of cause…getting a nice brown skin.
